Dragontail Games was born from a passion for tabletop wargames – in particular the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game.
After many years of seeing our favourite characters duke it out on the field of battle, we knew they deserved more than clumsy tape measures and slow/inflexible widgets. So, Dragontail™ was born.

How Dragontail Works
Dragontail can be quickly and effortlessly reconfigured to all the standard movement ranges of over 430 hero and warrior infantry in the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game.
One device allows you to command your elves, men, orcs, uruk-hai, dwarves, goblins, ruk-hai scouts, noldorin exiles and warriors of the dead.
it can also be used for measuring standard 1" backing away and making way as well as for backing away and making way from monsters.
Our proprietary connector design can be assembled and disassembled in seconds allowing you to change its length in the blink of an eye.
Our experience with polymer materials has enabled us to engineer the connectors to provide a secure and satisfying connection every time.
The mechanism has been thoroughly tested to ensure it retains measurement accuracy after repeated clipping and unclipping cycles.
Our unique solution means that the combination of speed of use, accuracy and versatility can't be matched by any other devices out there: not tape measures, not laser-cut rulers, not token/counter chain systems.
The materials have been meticulously tested and selected to ensure that they deliver longevity for your wargaming.
By being able to position the device flat on the gaming tabletop you can easily check that your models are moving around control zones.
Unlike laser-cut rulers and tape measures, Dragontail replicates the exact width of the path needed for your model to move from A to B. This means these is no doubt if they can fit where you need them to go and have enough movement range left over to get to there.
The precisely calculated angles of the barbs enable Dragontail to flex tightly around terrain and effortlessly wrap around a 1" base perimeter so you can utilise your model's full movement.
This gives you the all-needed accuracy for those complex or crucial measurements - something tape measures or laser-cut rulers could only dream of.
The scalloped end of the device is designed to fit perfectly against your model's base to ensure instant alignment first time, every time.
The contoured sides and ends of the device ensure that, no matter how crowded the mêlée is, the device still fits where it needs to measure.
The concave barbs are also essential in being able to place the device down accurately and then retrieve it from the battlefield with ease.
